Setting up my easel for painting during zoom class

This year, motivated by ‘Shelter in Place.' I decided to take an art class using Zoom. The class, taught by Dominique Medici, a recognized artist who now resides in Seattle, attracted artists from across the United States. The first of a series of classes using the Atelier method, focused on the work of John Singer Sargent and other master painters, using the Zorn Palette or a Limited Palette. The challenge of understanding a master artist's ways of thinking and perceiving proportions as well as becoming more skilled at color mixing was exciting. Having the opportunity to be guided through this experience and receive critiques from an excellent instructor was invaluable. Art students often study and sketch the works of the great masters in museum and galleries. The Zoom option provides this valuable experience in today's virtual world.
